Dreaming of a white Christmas is one thing. Wet ones are quite another. Part of the beauty of living in Los Angeles during the holidays is that you can pretty much forget it's the holidays altogether if you like. It's generally sunny, warm and Jewish enough that decorations are few and far between.Today, it's raining. And the dampness is both killing my merriness and frizzing my hair. But the family's in town and so buck up, I will. Just in time to celebrate the birth of Christ the way the Chosen People have for decades--with a few egg rolls, Kung Pao something-or-others and a movie.
